Honoring Marikana with Care, Safety and Respect
On 16 August 2025, the community gathered at Wonderkop, Marikana for the 13th Commemoration of the Marikana Massacre. The event was guided by the Event Safety & Security Planning Committee (ESSPC) and the local Joint Operations Committee (JOC), ensuring full SASREA compliance. A certified safety plan, detailed risk assessment, and the presence of safety officers, OHS managers, and medical teams supported the day. With dignity and care, history was honored, lives were remembered, and safety was prioritised.
